Chattogram is called the pasture of natural beauty, movement and political harmony.

However, due to a number of reasons, the importance of this region is immense in Bangladesh, as well as a need for political stability is also important here.

With a view to ensure peaceful co-existence in the evolving political context in Chattogram as well as taking action by parties to resolve local issues by practicing political harmony and tolerance Multiparty Advocacy Forum (MAF) Chattogram “Action Planning Meeting” was held on Wednesday, March 27, at the conference hall of The Copper Chimney Restaurant in the city’s GEC Intersection area.

The speakers called for a developed and prosperous Chattogram through political harmony.

The program was chaired by the Multiparty Advocacy Forum Chattogram President and Bangladesh Awami Swechasebak League Chattogram South District Joint General Secretary Engineer Sanatan Chakraborty Bijoy and moderated by the Multiparty Advocacy Forum Chattogram General Secretary and former Acting President of Chittagong City Chhatra Dal Md Jasim Uddin Chowdhury.

Senior Regional Manager Sadrul Amin presented the overall activities of Democracy International while Regional Coordinator Mohammad Obidur Rahman moderated the free discussion session.

An iftar mahfil was also organized there with the senior leaders of the Awami League, BNP and Jatiya Party in the 2nd phase of the action plan meeting.

In addition to political party leaders, members of Multiparty Advocacy Forum- Chattogram, BNCC, LEO Clubs, Girls Guide, Red Crescent Youth Chattogram City & District Unit, Scout, PURBA, Path Tulip, Chittagong University Debating Society (CUDS), Chittagong University School of Debate (CUSD), Bangladesh Alliance of Youth (BAY), International Youth Change Maker (IYCM), Volunteers for Bangladesh (VBD), Bangladesh Youth Brigade, Rising Star, Vorer Alo, Leo Club of Chittagong Imperial City, Blood Donors Forum and representatives of various voluntary youth organizations also participated in this event.

Electoral Program Associate of Democracy International Chittagong Tamanna Ahmed Bonny and Operation Assistant Abul Hasan Chowdhury Roni also aided the program.
