Kuwait Lifts Ban on Bangladesh Frozen Food Imports

Kuwait Lifts Ban on Bangladesh Frozen Food Imports
  • PublishedJanuary 16, 2026

Kuwait has lifted the ban on Bangladesh frozen food imports, allowing frozen poultry meat, meat products, and eggs from Bangladesh to re-enter the Kuwaiti market.

The decision was confirmed by the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait on January 15. According to the embassy, Kuwaiti authorities have withdrawn all previous restrictions on importing frozen chicken meat, poultry-based products, and eggs from Bangladesh.

With the Bangladesh frozen food import ban now lifted, Bangladeshi exporters and expatriate business owners in Kuwait can resume regular trade activities. The move is expected to provide a boost to Bangladesh’s frozen food export sector and improve trade flow between the two countries.

The embassy has urged concerned Bangladeshi businesses to take note of the update and proceed with imports in line with existing Kuwaiti regulations.
