Professor Dr Md Mamun Habib, Head of the Department of Management at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), has been honoured with the Excellence Researcher Award 2025, conferred by Shinawatra University.

The prestigious recognition was presented at the International Higher Education Excellence Award 2025 ceremony held on 22 December, acknowledging Professor Habib’s strong research impact and his role in advancing international academic collaboration.

According to a press release, the award highlights his contributions to management and supply chain research, as well as his engagement with global academic networks. Professor Habib expressed his gratitude to Shinawatra University and Dr Chanyanan Somthawinpongsai, Director of the International Reputation Centre, for nominating him for the honour.

In a statement, he said the recognition reflects IUB’s ongoing commitment to quality education and research excellence. He added that the School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE) continues to prioritise research development and academic leadership as part of its long-term mission.

Earlier this month, Professor Habib also received the Supply Chain Management Award at the IEOM Bangladesh International Conference, held at the World University of Bangladesh, further underscoring his influence in the field of operations and supply chain management.
