In the recent 44th BCS exam, a total of 3,50,716 applications were recorded.
We can see in the present days that, many university students starts studying for BCS from their first day of university life.
Keeping that in mind, many has risen a proposal to open ‘BCS University’ for the BCS aspirants. Though that was said sarcastically, but time has come to address the BCS problem among the students of the country.
Most of the meritorious students aspire to become a civil servant is because of the fact that BCS is considered to be a highly prestigious job with all the perks and facilities to lead a respected, famous, influential and affluent life.
With 4 Lakhs applicants vying for less than two thousand posts, the success ratio of cracking the civil service exam becomes very much questionable.
And every year this scenario accounts for a high unemployment rate in the country.
The failure to develop necessary skills for the other private sectors adds to their injury.
They are left with no options others than to strive after very few non specialized government jobs in the country.
It is apparent that most of the graduates are now unemployed due to their lackadaisical mentality towards skill development.
According to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics(BSS), 47 percentage of the educated people are unemployed, one in three graduate is unemployed in Bangladesh Bangladesh is a populous country, if it’s population is utilized in a correct manner then we wouldn’t have to rely upon other country’s for lots and lots of things.
The development of a nation is beyond imagination if the talented human resources only hanker after government job instead of using their talent in various developing sectors of the country.
A national disaster may ensue if students fail to realize the fact that the participation in various developing field is required.
Youths are an asset for the country, they need to realize that they can play a seminal role in taking the country forward and uplifting economical wheel of the country.
