Bangladeshi students have once again brought international recognition to the country by securing an outstanding total of 18 medals at two prestigious global academic competitions held in Japan. The students achieved this success at the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Southeast Asia and the International Science Olympiad for Southeast Asia, with the international round taking place in Osaka.

In the highly competitive international round, Bangladeshi participants won 5 Diamond medals, 2 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals, and 5 Bronze medals. In addition to the medal haul, one student received special recognition as a Perfect Scorer, an honor awarded for achieving flawless results in the competition. The achievement highlights the strong academic preparation and analytical skills of the students representing Bangladesh.

The international round was organized by the Global League of Winners, a global platform known for hosting rigorous academic competitions in mathematics and science. Bangladeshi students qualified for the international stage by successfully competing in an online national round held within the country, demonstrating excellence among thousands of participants.

The Diamond medal winners from Bangladesh were Arnav Ranjan Pal, Abdul Qaiyum, Mohammad Zariful Abrar, Asil Al Jawad, and Manjur Arush Ahsan. Gold medals were secured by S K Nafeun Islam and Naushin Saiyara Sahrin. Silver medals were won by Fatima Binte Khaled, Sajdah Sajmin Nuha, Mohammad Ajan Ibne Yadnan Rafan, Aishi Das, Syed Tazrian Anaf, and Nusaiba Noor Junainah. The Bronze medal winners were Dewan Mohammad Sunan, Nusaiba Noor Junainah, Sunirmal Das, Mirsab Haque Khan, and Mohammad Asil Al Zarif.

The participation and success of the Bangladeshi students were facilitated by International Olympiad Bangladesh, which serves as a national gateway for students to take part in international Olympiads. The platform enables students from different educational institutions across the country to compete at the global level through structured selection and preparation processes.

Commenting on the achievement, Md. Tanvirul Haque, Founder and Chairman of International Olympiad Bangladesh, said that the results strongly reaffirm the talent, capability, and intellectual strength of Bangladeshi students. He noted that international Olympiads do more than produce medal winners, as they help develop confident, science oriented, and globally minded future leaders.

Education experts say the success in Osaka reflects Bangladesh’s growing presence in international academic competitions and underscores the importance of providing students with early exposure to global standards. With proper guidance, preparation, and access to international platforms, Bangladeshi students continue to prove that they can compete with peers from any country.

International Olympiad Bangladesh stated that it will continue working to create broader opportunities for students in the future, aiming to further strengthen Bangladesh’s position on the global academic stage.
